Glenn Close’s canine Pip steals the highlight on the Independent Spirit Awards

Glenn Close’s canine Pip was the true star on the 2019 Independent Spirit Awards.

Celebrities are used to being the focus, particularly on the pink carpet. 

However, one cute pup named Pip appeared to be the true star on the 2019 Independent Spirit Awards on Saturday.

Glenn Close’s Havanese canine adopted the actress throughout her time giving interviews on the pink carpet, or extra precisely the Spirit Awards’ blue carpet. 

Reporters have been fast to note the well-behaved canine who attentively watched Close each time she spoke. At instances, Pip the canine would yawn or fortunately settle for a head scratching from one other human on the pink carpet. 

The loveliest second occurred when Close gained Best Female Lead for her function in The Wife. As she walked to the stage to just accept her award, Pip adopted her to the rostrum. 

“I hope you don’t mind that Pip came up here with me, he’s my date,” Close advised the viewers. “I am so honored to be here with all the women in this category. So, so honored.” 

But as Close tried to proceed her acceptance speech, Pip rolled round on his again, stealing the highlight (and digital camera time) from his amused grasp.

“What’s better than that?” Close mentioned in response to her canine’s playful actions. “I brought him up for this very reason. It’s called ‘in the moment.'”

Of course, loads of Pip followers popped up on social media to profess their love for the furry sidekick.
